Veteran Dutch DJ and producer, Fedde Le Grand, marks a return to the summit of the Progressive House scene with this banger collaboration with rising Dutch star, Nicky Romero.
Fedde, already a well-established name in electronic dance music, brings his studio experience to the mix in order to reinvent his recognized melodious and upbeat sounds while Romero contributes with his unique style of deep, buzzing synths that we know so well from tracks such as Generation 303, WTF!?!, and Toulouse among others. Sparks, which is released on Fedde’s own label, Flamingo Recordings, combines Fedde’s high energy beats with the Romero’s rattling leads which create an eclectic feel that house lovers will be sure to enjoy. However, one downside to the track is a lack of flair or uniqueness that separates it from the rest of the house anthems of today, but not everyone views this as a bad thing. The dynamic Dutch duo form a great partnership, creating an uplifting, summery tune that is sure to be a shoe-in in live sets all around the world at the upcoming summer festivals. As the Netherlands is quickly becoming the poster child for the EDM scene with other artists such as Tïesto, Hardwell, Afrojack, and Armin Van Buuren all dominating the scene in their respective outlets, expect more from up and comer Nicky Romero who looks to have a bright future ahead of him. Look out for him on the first day of the Electric Zoo Festival on August 31st, he will not fail to impress.
