For the first time in its history, Insomniac will be partnering with England’s pre-eminent electronic event producers, Cream, to bring the first-ever UK edition of Electric Daisy Carnival to life at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in England. A move that comes immediately following ID&T’s announcement to move it’s operations from Europe to the US with TomorrowWorld, further igniting the EDM arms race. Scheduled to be held for one day on July 20th 2013, the lineup already boasts Tiësto, Avicii, Steve Angello, Alesso, Hardwell, Porter Robinson, Madeon and more.
“Bringing Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival experience across the Atlantic to London has been my dream for years and I couldn’t ask for a better partner than Cream, who is a world-wide fixture in electronic dance music culture,” said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of Insomniac. “I’m confident that our collaboration will expose Insomniac’s returning fans and those who have yet to visit our United States festivals an opportunity to unite this summer in London.”
“We are really excited to be collaborating with Insomniac for what will be a spectacular event this summer,” says James Barton, president of Electronic Music at Live Nation. “Electric Daisy Carnival is already an important and prominent international brand, and we believe it will thrive in the UK in 2013.”
Early bird tickets go on sale on Tuesday, April 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific.
