Named after his cat Professor Meowingtons, deadmau5’s Meowingtons Hax tour encompasses more than 40 shows in markets such as Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Montreal, Boston and Chicago. The tour officially launched August 7 at Lollapalooza in Chicago, where deadmau5 was an official 20th Anniversary festival headliner along with Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse and My Morning Jacket. USA Today noted deadmau5 “…symbolized the festival’s transition into a hotbed for electronic dance music,” (Piet Levy, 8/8/11) while SPIN.com touted his set the best of Lollapalooza.
The show features incredible production—a spectacle of lights and LED (check out a clip from Lolla here: http://vimeo.com/27430969) which compliments deadmau5’s live repertoire of hits, classic cuts and brand new music. deadmau5 also helmed headliner slots at Outside Lands and the Virgin Mobile FreeFest, as well as sold-out four consecutive shows at the legendary Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles and six consecutive shows at Roseland Ballroom in New York City
