Dubstep DJ/producer to debut state of the art Vortex Lumen DJ booth
Tempe, Ariz. – Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations (SLE) and Disco Donnie Presents (DDP) bring Datsik Firepower “Most Wanted Tour” with support from Funtcase and Antiserum & Mayhem to Marquee Theatre on Thursday, October 12 located at 730 N. Mill Avenue in Tempe, Ariz. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the event is 16 years and older.
Troy Beetles, also known as Datsik, began producing dubstep music following his inspirational encounter with fellow Canadian producer Excision at the 2008 Shambhala Music Festival. A year later, the two released the hit collaboration “Swagga” which was featured in countless YouTube videos, propelling Datsik’s career. According to Beatport, Datsik is one of the first dubstep producers to have five songs on their list of top selling tracks at once with a variety of those songs reaching No. 1.
Aside from his solo catalog, Datsik has collaborated with a number of artists including Infected Mushroom, Flux Pavilion and Jonathan Davis of the band Korn. He has also remixed numerous tracks for electronic dance music artists such as Diplo, The Crystal Method, Bassnectar and Pretty Lights. His diverse production genre spans from heavy dubstep and fast drum & bass, to slow moombahton and glitch-hop.
Datsik’s “Most Wanted Tour” will feature opening support from Firepower Records artists Funtcase and Antiserum & Mayhem. The DJ and producers Antiserum & Mayhem have been producing dubstep separately for over a decade. The two worked together on collaborations “Like This” and “Trippy,” both making the Beatport dubstep Top 100 Chart. Their latest EP “BayTL Dub” was released at the end of 2012 and remains in the Beatport Top 100 Chart for albums. UK based dubstep DJ and producer Funtcase was first noticed by Doctor P. who urged him to join Circus Records in 2010. He has been producing hit singles ever since, his latest being “Squid” which sits at No. 7 on the Beatport Top 100 dubstep list.
The tour is also set to feature the state-of-the-art PK sound system from Excision’s “The Execution Tour” in 2012. In addition, Datsik will debut his all-new Vortex Lumen DJ booth with visuals by V Squared Labs.
