Trance may be dead (or, as I prefer to hope, temporarily retired), but producer Chris Schweizer has proven that there’s still a place for haunting atmospheric melodies in an increasingly bass-driven music scene.
Even if hard progressive isn’t their thing, listeners will find it’s a bit softer around the edges than some of the harder electro we’ve been hearing in big rooms lately – there’s no noisy cacophonic buildup, no crazy sirens, no shock-value noise. Just clean melodies that twist and turn and a thick, heavy bass that will cause some major fist-pumping on the dance floors around the globe. If you’ve heard Schweizer’s other stuff, expect something similar from “Iris.”
