Ultra Music Festival Voted Worlds #1 Festival

As voted for by readers of Top 100 Clubs, powered by Miller Genuine Draft, Ultra Music Festival has won the title of ‘The World’s No.1 Festival’ for the second year in a row!

When half-a-million of you picked your five favourite clubs earlier this year, we also asked you to choose the one, single festival in the world you love the most. And, once again, the result is resounding!

Ultra Music Festival, the world- conquering festival brand which has invaded 23 countries (and counting!) over the globe — Croatia through to Korea, Singapore to Spain — has taken the title again, but we’d honestly say we’re not surprised.

At the end of March, 165,000 ravers from all over the world squeezed into the eight city stages of Bayfront Park in Miami, where 215 of the world’s most important DJs played over three days — from EDM megastars like Tiesto, David Guetta and Martin Garrix to underground techno titans such as Carl Cox, Dubfire and Joseph Capriati, and even live hip-hop acts Cypress Hill and Ice Cube.

Ultra Miami, the festival’s flagship, has got game, and we’re pretty damn sure you will not find a bigger line-up entirely dedicated to electronic music out there. But of course you already know that — that’s why you voted for it!

2017 also saw the return of everyone’s favorite fire-breathing giant spider, Arcadia, hosted by the new, pioneering, Carl Cox-led RESISTANCE stage. The brand ran across two different stages for the very first this year in Miami – with the Arcadia spider running all three days and the Megastructure being taken over on Friday and Saturday.

The likes of Carl Cox, Sasha & John Digweed, Tale of Us and Marco Carola performed in the Megastructure. At the Spider, Jamie Jones closed B2B Seth Troxler and other performers included Adam Beyer, Stephan Bodzin, Marco Plex and Dubfire across the weekend.

RESISTANCE also launched standalone events in South America in Chile, Peru and Paraguay in 2016 before announcing a residency at Privilege Ibiza this summer.

Ultra also launched its Ultra Passport global loyalty programme, and there was a complete revamp of its VIP area, which introduced an oceanfront VIP village, while the Ultra Live Stream has generated over 18 million views so far.

It’s a festival that’s constantly expanding and improving — new Ultras have just been announced in China, India, Australia and Ibiza.
