Contributor Writer / Writer Internship
Are you a talented writer with a passion for dance music? Are you based near the metropolitan areas of New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco, or Miami? If the answer to both of these questions is yes, then we want you to apply for an internship at Electronic Dance Magazine.
Contributing to Electronic Dance Magazine (EDM Magazine) will give you an unparalleled opportunity to test your skills on the front lines of the music world and to work with some of your favorite artists. Get the internship, and a month from now you might be conducting an interview backstage with Dillon Francis or Tiësto. More than anything else, you will be immersed in the world of dance music – and learn a lot about the industry while you’re at it.
The Contributing Writer will generate written content under the guidance of the editorial team. Responsible for the maintaining of timely content as it appears on the Web site. Interns will be responsible for writing about music releases, current events, as well as providing coverage of concerts and conducting interviews.
Has worked in a team environment before.
Must be available at least 15 hours per week.
Must be knowledgeable about the broader electronic music industry.
Strong writing skills are needed.
Journalism experience is preferred but not necessary.
Experience with Word Press is preferred.
Willing to grow within the company and learn new skills.
